PS5 Price, Release Date, Preorder Date Revealed | IGN

Update: Sony has announced that preorders for PS5 will begin tomorrow, September 17.

Sony has announced that PlayStation 5 will cost $499 / £449 for the full edition, and $399 / £359 for the digital edition.

Announced at September’s PS5 event, it will arrive on November 12 in the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea and November 19 in all other territories.

Last month, Sony warned that PS5 will have “limited quantity” at launch. You can get the jump on preorders by signing up for retailer notifications.

The announcement comes hot on the heels of Microsoft, who announced that Xbox Series X will retail at $499, Xbox Series S at $299, and both consoles will arrive on November 10.
