PS5 Firmware Update 21.01-03.20.00 Includes Performance Enhancements | IGN

A new firmware update for the PlayStation 5 has arrived, adding improved performance and improved stability for the DualSense controller. Update 21.01-03.20.00 (sadly not a Nier reference) also addresses the issue that restricted the functionality of some screens when the system’s screen reader was enabled.

Other issues that have been fixed include games being hidden on PS4, but not PS5. Copying games from an external USB storage to the PS5’s internal storage is also more stable now, which should make those of us with big libraries we want available at all times a little happier.

The full list of firmware updates can be found on Sony’s website.

Curious about what’s next for the PS5? The E3 schedule has been released if you want a heads up on what we might see this weekend, though PlayStation doesn’t have a presence at this year’s show. God of War’s sequel is delayed to 2022, so definitely don’t expect to see anything meaningful about Kratos’ next adventure any time soon.
