Some of its upcoming titles are games that have already been announced, while others were newly revealed to IGN in a preview event ahead of today’s announcement.

Encased

After a long period in Early Access, Encased is finally planned for launch in September from Dark Crystal Games. It’s set in a Fallout-like universe and aesthetic, but its gameplay looks like Divinity: Original Sin 2 or Baldur’s Gate.

Gungrave: G.O.R.E.

We’ve known a new Gungrave game was in the works from Studio IGGYMOB for some time, but still haven’t seen any proper gameplay from it. We do know that it’s another single-player action shooter, and it’s planned for PC and console in 2022.

The Chant

Brass Token’s action-adventure horror game was announced a while ago. It’s a cosmic thriller set within a new age cult, where you play as a woman uncovering the cult’s horrifying secrets using the tools she can find, and old magic.

Codename Final Form

We saw very little of what this codenamed project is, and are unsure if “Final Form” even is its “final form.” Developed by Reikon Games (the Polish developer behind Ruiner), it seems to be some kind of space game. We do know that it’s an FPS with both single-player and multiplayer co-op modes, and it’s coming to PC and consoles…sometime.

Dolmen

Dolmen looks an awful lot like Dark Souls, but in space. Developed by Massive Work Studios and planned for PC and consoles, it’s an action RPG wth both single and multiplayer components, challenging combat with both close and long-range weapons, and a familiar mechanic involving returning to the place where you died to retrieve things you left behind. Planned for release this year.

Project: Echoes of the End

Newly revealed at the media event, Echoes of the End follows an assassin on the run who encounters an elderly scholar in some ancient ruins and must team up with him to escape to freedom. We didn’t get to see any gameplay, and while so far Echoes of the End is only being promoted as a third-person, action, single-player game, we’re hoping co-op is coming down the line too. Developed by Myrkur Games in none other than Unreal Engine 5.

Painkiller

Yup, Just Painkiller. We haven’t been told any other information about the new Painkiller game, beyond that it’s being published by Prime Matter in collaboration with Saber Interactive.

In addition to these new games, a number of existing Koch Media games are being moved under the Prime Matter label, including Phoenix Point, Wasteland 3, Iron Harvest, Outward Definitive Edition, Mount & Blade 2, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

Koch Media’s reveals today were a part of Summer Game Fest, which is in turn part of a lead-up to E3 2021 this weekend. This year’s E3 includes events from Xbox, Square Enix, Ubisoft, Nintendo, Devolver Digital, and more, all of which can be watched and caught up on through IGN’s Summer of Gaming.
